A community in action: Kieser Charity Golf Day backing safer futures for children
04/2026
Conversations across the course, volunteers behind the scenes and a community rallying behind children and families defined the 12th Annual Kieser Charity Golf Day at Latrobe Golf Club.
Held in our 130th year, the event brought together partners, supporters and advocates committed to backing safer futures for children.
After a morning on the green, with 127 players taking part in a friendly 18-hole round, CEO Nicole Artico spoke about the importance of early intervention and the role communities play in creating safer futures for children. This was supported by a compelling Q&A with Kids First experts Lola Papanastasiou, Clinical Practitioner in the Sexual Abuse Counselling and Prevention Program (SACPP), and Simone Gibby, Prevention Officer and Family Safety Contact Practitioner in SACPP and Caring Dads. Together, they shared insights into the realities facing children, youth and families, and the importance of equipping young people with the knowledge and confidence to understand boundaries, consent and safety.
The impact:
• $78,800 raised
• 127 players across 30 teams
• 11 corporate partners supporting the day
Every dollar raised will support the development of age-appropriate resources that help children understand body safety, consent and respect, giving them the tools to recognise their rights and seek help when something doesn’t feel right.
In Australia:
• 1 in 3 girls
• 1 in 5 boys
will experience sexual abuse before the age of 18.
This work is about helping change that reality.
For 12 years, Kieser has been a committed partner working alongside Kids First by raising over $510,000 to support children, young people and families.
On the course, between conversations and competition, what stood out most was the shared commitment: a community coming together to back safer futures for children.
To our supporters who played, partnered, donated and showed up, thank you.
